Dementia Software has released all products as freeware!
Check it out!

Once you have downloaded it you can simply run LogoCycler.exe either by double clicking on it in
Windows Explorer or by selecting "Run" from the Start menu and entering the path where you downloaded it to.
This will begin the installation program for LogoCycler.

The LogoCycler installation program installs LogoCycler to a directory
of your choice. It then creates two shortcut icons to LogoCycler.exe,
one in the Programs group and one in the Programs|Startup group found
under the Windows Start button. The shortcut in the Startup group
causes LogoCycler to be executed every time Windows is started.
This icon also has the "/cycle" command line switch. This is what
causes LogoCycler to automatically cycle the logo images. Select the
LogoCycler icon found in the Programs group to do manual configurations.
After the Installation program has completed successfully, you may delete all files in the directory to which you extracted
LogoCycl.exe. These files are no longer required by LogoCycler.

Simply double click LogoCycler.exe's icon in the tray to execute the
application normally. You will see a dialog box containing three property sheets.
One for the signon logo, one for the signoff logo, and one for the shutdown
logo. The singon logo is the image you see when Windows is starting. The
signoff logo is the image you see when Windows is in the process of
shutting down. The shutdown logo is the image you see when Windows has
shutdown and you can turn off your computer. Each of these property sheets
contains a listbox which displays a list of the files which will be used for that
specific logo. The green arrow in the listbox indicates the current selection. By
changing the current selection you change the image that you will see the next time
Windows starts up or shuts down.

The "*.sys" files used by
Windows are nothing more than bitmap files. If you don't believe me, rename
"logos.sys" in your Windows directory to "logos.bmp" and use Paintbrush to
view it. Remember to rename it back to "logos.sys"! The images that Windows uses are 320x400 and 256 colors. You do not need to worry
about the files you "Add" into your LogoCycler lists though.
LogoCycler can load GIF, BMP, or JPG images and will automatically color correct and scale images that need it.
