Q. Will you have a product that cycles Screen Savers?
A. Probably not. We were going to do screen saver cycling but found that Windows has no consistant way of controling screen savers.
Q. I'm having trouble downloading from your site. What can I do?
A. Try and try again. If you continue having problems, e-mail us and we can try e-mailing the program to you. Alot of ISP's don't like it when you receive 1.7 Meg e-mails though, so please keep trying. We are trying to set up mirror sites. If you are able to provide a mirror site, please e-mail us!
Q. Do you take suggestions?
A. YES! We love suggestions! Half of the improvements found in LogoCycler were because people suggested things they thought would make LogoCycler better. If you have a suggestion to make you can e-mail us.
Q. Why is it now called "DSLogoCycer"? Isn't it the same program?
A. We renamed LogoCycler to "DSLogoCycler" because we found another LogoCycler on the internet and we didn't want our customers to be confussed. The "DS" stands for "Dementia Software". This is your guarentee that you are downloading quality software. We've also rebuilt all of LogoCycler, starting from the very core of the program. This way we eliminated some errors that were being caused by third party software that we used to build the previous versions of LogoCycler. So even though it looks like the old LogoCycler, DSLogoCycler is much more reliable, stable, and easier to use.
Q. Does LogoCycler work with Windows 98?
A. Our Beta testers have not encountered any errors when testing LogoCycler with Windows 98 so it should work just fine. If you do encounter a problem with Win98 that you feel is caused by LogoCycler, please e-mail us.
Q. How do I Uninstall LogoCycler?
A. With LogoCycler 3.4 or later, uninstalling is as easy as looking in the DSLogoCycler Program Group and clicking on the Uninstall icon. If you need to uninstall a previous version of LogoCycler you need to go to your Control Panel and use the "Add/Remove Programs" feature. If you need help with uninstalling LogoCycler 2.21 or earlier, e-mail us. Make sure to include a return e-mail address and please tell us your level of experience with computers and Windows 95. This way we can give you enough detailed information to walk you through the Uninstallation process.
Q. Will SSThingy work under Windows 98?
A. Yes. Our Beta testers have not encountered any errors when testing SSThnigy with Windows 98 so it should work just fine. If you do encounter a problem with Win98 that you feel is caused by SSThingy, please e-mail us.
Q. Why doesn’t the screen saver show when I press the Preview button on the Screen Saver property page?
A. If you are pressing the button with the mouse, you are probably moving the mouse while the screen saver is starting. This causes the screen saver to stop immediately. You must hold the mouse absolutely still and not press its buttons or any keys when you press the Preview button.
Q. Why is it called SSThingy?
A. We wanted a name that was both fun and obvious. SSThingy stands for (S)creen (S)aver Thingy. Because we didn't come up with a better name (that wasn't already in use) by the time we released SSThingy, we just left it as is.
